Anime & Hentai

Anime & Hentai is adult-content animated media originating mainly in Japan, with distinctive anime art blended into mature or erotic storylines. "Hentai," the Japanese for "pervert" or "perverted," came to be known in Western markets during the latter part of the 20th century, even though within Japan adult anime are widely known as ero anime or ecchi (for less serious, teasing content).

This genre is indebted to Japanese manga and anime culture, in which complex plot, dramatic character design, and creative worlds are combined with in-your-face themes that are adult in nature.
